Melanie Lipinski has served as the Principal of Wolf Hill School since 2009. Prior to being a School Principal in Oceanport, Ms. Lipinski was the Assistant Principal of the Lafayette Mills School and District Music Supervisor for the Manalapan-Englishtown School District. Before entering a formal school leadership role, Ms. Lipinski was a Reading Coach and teacher of grades four, five, and six at Midtown Community School in the Bayonne School District.
Ms. Lipinski is certified as a School Administrator, Principal, Supervisor, Teacher of English (K-12), and Elementary School Teacher (K-8). She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and English from The College of New Jersey in 2001 and her Masters in School Leadership, Education, and Policy from Rutgers Graduate School of Education in 2006. She is currently working on completing her doctorate degree (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education with a special interest in researching social-emotional learning and its link to academic achievement and success.
During her time as a teacher and Assistant Principal, Ms. Lipinski coached high school tennis and intermediate basketball, volleyball, and softball. Currently, she enjoys being an instructor for Oceanport's Youth Recreation Tennis program. As as a musician by hobby and former music supervisor, Ms. Lipinski is a strong advocate for music and art in schools.
Ms. Lipinski believes in teaching the whole child to make sure that we help each student succeed and reach his/her individual academic, social, and emotional potential. Students deserve a progressive, inclusive school environment where everyone matters and learning happens with purpose and pride.
